Tunage Tuesdays

This is the first post of tunage tuesdays. Every tuesday I will be writing a post of my favourite song / songs of the past week. For any other bloggers out there who wish to post about their favourite song of the week, please feel free. I will also be tweeting using the hash tag #tuesdaytunage.

So this week’s tunage has got to be Cee Lo Green’s Forget you (the clean version!)

I have liked Cee Lo since the days of Gnarls Berkley and Crazy. He has such a soulful voice and reminds me a little of a modern day Fats Domino.
He can hold a high note and play the piano with a gusto of Sir Elton. Not only that, but the man can rock sequins, big glasses and has a stage presence even Gaga would be jealous of!
Forget you is an upbeat number which never fails to get me humming, even if it is a song of sorrow.
Forget you is actually written by Cee Lo and another Grammy award winner, Bruno Mars which was a surprise as I am no lover of Bruno.

Cee Lo has performed Forget you at both this year’s Brit Awards with Paloma Faith (the less said about that the better!) and Gwyneth Paltrow at the Grammy’s. Gwyneth was amazing and who knew she could sing! Just check out the performance on you tube http://m.youtube.com/watch?desktop_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D-dBNb0aIGOU&v=-dBNb0aIGOU&gl=GB

Although Forget you was released back in August last year, it is still one of my favourite songs at the moment and wholly deserves it’s grammy award. Cee Lo you are one sparkly son of a gun and I award you 4 out of 5 smackers from the bouche for Forget You!
